About CBCRO

Who we are and why we write for the Romanian diaspora

We are CrossBorderChroniclesRo, better known as CBCRO.
A short name, like a punch below the belt for anyone who thinks journalism should bow, kiss rings, or bury its head in the sand.

Who writes and why

Here writes Pandele Moromete.
I’m not an influencer, nor a self-declared geopolitical analyst with fake diplomas.
I’m just a peasant with a keyboard, exiled among strangers, who got a taste for truth and irony.
I eat news for breakfast but digest it with satire.

Why CBCRO was born

We created CBCRO because independent journalism in the Romanian diaspora was missing.
There was no voice to say things as they are — without sponsors, without parties, without plastic words.
So, since that voice didn’t exist, we decided to become it.

We survive on nerves, humor, and the occasional donation.
Sometimes even from someone else’s last slice of bread.
We don’t ask for anything — but every share and every reader who makes it to the end means the world to us.

What’s next

We want to become a full platform for Romanian journalism in exile.
With news, opinions, investigations, and community.
We want to build a network where the diaspora has a voice, not just a vote.
